Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump is set to host a big-ticket fundraiser in the Chicagoland area in September, according to Crain’s Chicago Business.
The campaign luncheon will be held at the Bolingbrook Golf Club on Sept. 12, according to Crain's. Tickets for the event range in price from $1,000 to $250,000. Proceeds will go to the Trump Victory fund, the Republican National Committee, and some state parties.
Hosts for the event include RNC Chairman Reince Priebus, Chicago businessman Ron Gidwitz and Bolingbrook Mayor Roger Claar.
Trump last visited Chicago in July for a fundraiser at Trump Tower, an event that was closed to the press.
Prior to that, Trump visited Chicago for an ill-fated rally at the University of Illinois-Chicago Pavillion in the lead-up to Illinois' primary in March. The billionaire cancelled the rally at the last minute after protesters and supporters clashed outside the venue.
Nevertheless, Trump won Illinois' Republican primary with nearly 39 percent of the vote.
