Hours before Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker's inauguration celebration party, it remained unclear which musical act would headline the event.

Sources previously speculated Sir Paul McCartney or Maroon 5 would be Pritzker's chosen acts.

Pritzker has been playing things very close to the vest when it comes to the entertainment at the party.

The incoming governor's team declined to comment on the selection for the party.

The party will take place at the Exposition Building at the Illinois State Fairgrounds, where party-goers were shelling out $250 apiece to be a part of the celebration.

Pritzker was sworn in as Illinois’ new governor in Springfield on Monday afternoon.

When current Illinois Governor Bruce Rauner was sworn in at his 2015 inauguration, country star Toby Keith was among the musical acts that performed.
