Mayor, Family Head to Prague for the Weekend

President Barack Obama was back in Chicago on Friday night, but unlike previous visits, his former Chief of Staff -- the current mayor of Chicago -- wasn't there to greet him at the airport.

Mayor Rahm Emanuel and his family are in Prague, in the Czech Republic, celebrating a Bat Mitzvah for his daughter, Ilana, and a Bar Mitzvah for his nephew, Ezra.

While there, the family plans to visit the Spanish Synagogue, one of the last remaining synagogues that survived World War II, according to a mayoral spokesman.

The First Family is in town to attend the wedding of White House advisor Valerie Jarrett's daughter.

A 2010 book by authori Jonathan Alter described a strained relationship between Emanuel and Jarrett.
