Chicago Mayoral Candidates Announce Extensive Debate Schedule

The candidates will square off a total of seven times, including five more times on TV

After participating in their first forum of the runoff election season on NBC 5/Telemundo, Chicago mayoral candidates Lori Lightfoot and Toni Preckwinkle will have plenty more opportunities to cross swords.

On Friday, it was announced that the candidates would participate in a total of seven more forums and debates, five of which will be televised in the Chicago-area.

Here are the televised debates, as announced by the campaigns:

March 20: ABC

March 21: WTTW

March 25: WGN

March 26: FOX

March 27: CBS

There will also be two more opportunities for the candidates to go head-to-head before the April 2 election. On March 12 both candidates will sit in front of the Chicago Tribune editorial board and compete for the endorsement of the paper, which backed former White House Chief of Staff Bill Daley during the previous election.

Local radio station WBEZ will also host a debate, the final one of the election season, on March 29.
