With 14 candidates, the field of hopefuls in the running for Chicago mayor on Tuesday night was the largest in city history.

Lori Lightfoot and Toni Preckwinkle emerged as the top two vote-getters, advancing to the April runoff election by earning 17 and 16 percent of the vote, respectively.

With so many candidates, and a relatively low turnout of 34 percent, the breakdown of how each area voted is complicated - and fascinating.
