Alderman Abandons Bartender Gig After DUI Arrest

Chicago Ald. Rey Colon (35th) on Wednesday canceled plans to be a "celebrity bartender" following his arrest on suspicion of DUI a few days earlier.

Colon had been slated to take part in a fundraiser to support the "A Day in Avondale" neighborhood arts festival.

He was pulled over at about 1 a.m. Friday on the Eisenhower Expressway after his vehicle was seen drifting between lanes. State Police said he was given a field sobriety test, according to reports, and arrested.
