A funeral was held Tuesday for Bernard Stone, one day after the longtime Chicago alderman passed away.
A service was held at noon at the Chicago Jewish Funerals Skokie Chapel, at 8851 Skokie Boulevard, in Skokie. Interment followed at the Waldheim Jewish Cemetery in Forest Park, according to an online obituary.
Stone died early Monday from complications from a weekend fall, his daughter said. He was 87.
He served the 50th Ward in the Chicago City Council for nearly four decades before losing a 2011 election battle to Ald. Debra Silverstein.
