With early voting records already shattered, Monday marks the last day voters can cast an early ballot before Election Day.
Sites will open at 9 a.m. across Chicago and close at 7 p.m. Some suburban locations will close at 5 p.m.
According to the Board of Election Commissioners, more than 284,000 ballots have been cast so far, up 9 percent from the November 2008 election. Election officials cited a large number of mail-in ballots.

Cook County election officials are expected to update with new voting numbers in the county Monday morning and offer last-minute preparations for Election Day.
