Chicago's City Council meets this morning at 10 a.m. On the docket are several items you'll want to be aware of. Take a look:

Doggie dining: The council could vote to make it easier for dogs to join their owners on Chicago restaurant patios. An approval would consolidate business licenses so restaurants wouldn't need to apply for the separate $125 "dog-friendly" license.

Midway refinancing: Chicago's finance committee approved this week Mayor Rahm Emanuel's plan to refinance $1.5 billion of Midway Airport's debt and pay for about $40 million in projects around the airport. The deal opens up the idea of privatizing Midway.

Water and sewer upgrades: The committee also signed off on a bond deal to upgrade water and sewer infrastructure over the next two years. Emanuel has said he would hire only firms owned by women, minorities and disabled veterans for the $300 million project.
