The Buzz: Stella B. Black served as the Centralia Township Assessor in 1981 and was re-elected in 1985. Black plans to remove pharmaceutical traces in water to improve overall quality and make treated water re-usable for non-drinking purposes. Further, Black argues that the MWRD should allow all district transactions to be available to taxpayers and venders online, allowing citizens to be aware and informed. As an aside, Black told the Chicago Tribune that she was a “The Young and the Restless” fanatic.
