The Buzz: Being the oldest of 10  children, Fernandez always had a sense of responsibility for others. A big supporter of the U.S. military, he is an active member of Son of the American Legion in Tinley Park, Squad 615, among other groups. Fernandez states his plan is to strengthen the Illinois economy and help taxpayers by lowering state income tax. He promotes job growth and plans to attract new businesses to Illinois by lowering the corporate income tax rate for all businesses.
Previously an adjunct instructor at Governors State University, Morton College, and Oakton Community College, Fernandez is currently a physical therapist. With over 20 years of experience in the field, he says he understands community needs.
