Rahm's Chicken and Waffle Visit Gets Sticky

Rahm Emanuel today headed to a Chicken and Waffle House in Bronzeville  to corral some extra votes from the black community.

The crowd, which included Reverend Jesse Jackson and Congressman Bobby Rush, wasn't too receptive to Emanuel's visit.

Emanuel walked through the restaurant shaking hands as the crowd shouted "Carol, Carol." The chants were audible above the blaring music.

At first it appeared Emanuel wouldn't shake Jackson's hand, as Emanuel stood with his back to the civil rights leader. After a few moments Emanuel came together with Jackson and Rush, who were seated a few tables away and shook their hands.

Jackson didn't seem to mind about the delay in recognition.

"I came for the chicken," he said.  "I'm not a tourist."
