Rahm Defends Biden

Rahm Emanuel does not think President Barack Obama should dump Vice President Joe Biden from the ticket after some controversial comments.

"No," Emanuel said when asked. "Vice President Joe Biden serves the president well, has and will continue to. That's not my choice. That's the president's choice. But I believe Joe Biden has been a good vice president."

The Weekly Standard, a conservative magazine, posited the idea this week that Obama should divorce from Biden and select Hillary Clinton as his VP pick going forward.

Obama has not weighed in on the controversy.

Emanuel grudgingly talked on the topic.

"I'm not going to comment on every event of the presidential campaign," he said.

Speaking in Virginia on Tuesday, Biden said that a Republican-led effort to loosen new regulations on Wall Street would put voters "back in chains."
