After Sam Adam Jr. finished his closing arguments, and after the prosecution finished their rebuttal and Judge James Zagel adjourned court for the day, Patti Blagojevich burst into tears.
She hugged her sister-in-law as spectators filed out of the courtroom.
As he was leaving the 25th floor of the Dirksen Federal Courts building, Rod Blagojevich acknowledged the gathered reporters and said "I hope you have a prayer left for us."
