Patti Blagojevich Considers Voting For Jailed Husband

Patti Blagojevich, the wife of convicted former Illinois governor Rod Blagojevich, suggested on Facebook she might vote for her husband on Election Day instead Pat Quinn or Bruce Rauner.

"Election Day-I'll be glad that all the ads using my husband will be off the air and my girls don't have to see them anymore," she wrote. "I don't know if I can hold my nose and vote for either of the two. Maybe, I'll write in Rod."

Rod Blagojevich was sentenced in 2011 to 14 years in prison on corruption charges. He's serving his sentence at the Federal Correctional Institution in Englewood, Colorado.

Quinn took over as governor in 2009 after Blagojevich was impeached and was elected to a full term in 2010.

This isn't the first time Patti Blagojevich has mentioned her husband on Facebook.

In August she posted a letter he sent her from prison for the couple's 24th wedding anniversary.

"It is so unfair, so wrong," he wrote, "yet maybe that's what I get for being so cavalier about things like this when I could have properly celebrated our special day when I had the chance. I have learned my lesson. Never again will I treat our wedding anniversary as anything less than a national holiday."
