In addition, the police website Second City Cop has more protest details than the demonstrators will reveal or the city will admit to:

-- After the Nurses United March on Friday, “there is going to be an even larger, unscheduled and non permit march through out all of downtown with no planned route.. obviously to screw up friday rush hour traffic... they are encouraged to “make as much noise as possible.”

-- There may be an attempt “to protest and infiltrate the first pitch at the Cubs/White Sox game Friday night because NATO general John Allen will be throwing out the first pitch at the game.” (This event is listed on the NATO Protest website, but no action is specified.

-- The anarchist Black Bloc will be marching in the main protest group on Sunday. “A day they are calling on for ‘chaos’ and disorder in Chicago. (The Black Bloc says it will gather at the Petrillo Band Shell from noon to 11 p.m. Sunday. “We aim to keep this action peaceful,” the group says, “but ANY attempt at violent dispersal or unjust arrest will be repulsed with our shields, bodies and hands.”)
