Mayoral Hopefuls Give Back on Thanksgiving

Politics does not take a holiday, especially in Chicago.

Several mayoral hopefuls used this day of thanks to give back to those in need. And one of those events got a bit crowded.

At the Rainbow-PUSH Coalition's annual Thanksgiving Day dinner, three candidates showed up to help feed the hungry alongside the Rev. Jesse Jackson and other volunteers.

U.S. Rep. Danny Davis, former Sen. Carol Moseley Braun, and the Rev. James Meeks all helped serve up a turkey dinner to dozens of people in need.

Meeks was also at an earlier event, this one with fellow candidate Gery Chico. Both men helped Catholic Charities feed the homeless and hungry at their annual dinner at their facility on North LaSalle Street.
