The Buzz: Jim O’Donnell identifies two main issues for his campaign: term limits and taxes, according to his campaign website.

O’Donnell says excessive taxes will lead to businesses and people fleeing the state, causing remaining businesses to be unable to sustain infrastructure and government services.

He also wants to impose a term limit of 10 years in each house of the legislature and argues that legislators are more likely to realize the consequences of the legislation they produce if they have to return to private life after working in government.

O’Donnell has spent much of his career working in manufacturing, working in management for Graco, Inc. for 16 years. He currently works for Camcraft, Inc., a Hanover Park manufacturing firm specializing in hydraulics and engine components.
