Giannoulias Lags Badly in Fundraising Game

Alexi Giannoulias couldn’t muster a $1 million fundraising haul during the last quarter.

The Democratic nominee for senate took in just $900,000 between April and June 30.

His take is surprisingly small when considering that Vice President Joe Biden, and other Washington luminaries hit the stump for him.

Opponent Mark Kirk took in $2.3 million during the same period, despite battling negative press reports relating to his exaggerated military record.

Giannoulias’ camp says he’s lagging because he won’t take funds from corporations.

Alexi is holding a press conference Thursday to criticize Kirk for taking funds from Wall Street.
