The Buzz: Baqai, a Chicago Police Officer of nine years, came to the United States as an immigrant in 1989. Baqai earned her Master of Jurisprudence in Family Law at Loyola Law School and received her Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice and Masters of Science in Political Science & Justice Studies at Governors State University. She's focused on job growth, healthcare, immigration reform and women's rights, among other core issues.
