The Buzz: Montalvo recently retired from his rank of Lieutenant Colonel of the U.S. Military after 31 years of service. He currently runs an international project management consulting business and serves as an adult volunteer at Boy Scouts of America and commissioner for the Frankfort Square Park District. He also serves as chairman for both the Long Range Planning and Maintenance subcommittees.
Montalvo is concerned with the state's financial condition and aims to eliminate wasteful spending, as well as reform public pensions and address health care costs. He is concerned with the status of veterans and looks to create programs to aid in veteran education and special programs.
