The Buzz:  Anderson formerly worked for the University of Wisconsin's Comprehensive Cancer Center.  He then went on to work for the Cardinal Bernardin Cancer Center at Loyola as Assistant Director for Research Support.  Anderson retired in 2010 but serves on the Board of Directors for the International Breast Cancer Research Foundation. 

If elected, Anderson plans to focus his efforts on health care, job creation and energy conservation.  In an aside, Anderson told the Chicago Tribune that he is afraid of bears, though he has never actually encountered one.
