The Buzz: Curt Renz is the author of "The Investor's Guide to Technical Analysis" and former anchor with the Stock Market Observer on WCIU-TV in Chicago. Renz is a strong proponent of the construction of a high-speed rail system, highway bridges and viaducts to boost the state's economy and encourage tourism.
Renz identified himself as largely independent but chose to take a more Democratic stance in his election because of his belief that his Republican counterparts were beginning to lean more extreme.
