The Buzz: After a career in education, Pierog recently worked as the interim executive director of Health for Humanity. She is the founder and president of Sustainable Leadership Solutions, a consulting company specializing in value-based leadership education. She also teaches classes at Illinois Valley Community College.
Pierog considers the top issue of the election to be unemployment and looks to stimulate job growth and provide tax incentives to small businesses and entrepreneurs. She looks to transportation as a way to stimulate the economy by creating a means for exporting Illinois' agricultural products and manufactured goods.
