The Buzz: Sente has served as the 59th district's state representative since 2009. She was appointed after the previous representative resigned. She is the former owner of the architectural firm SRBL Architects, a firm that focuses on green design for municipal structures, and formerly served as the vice president of the Vernon Hills Park District Board for four years.
Her issues of focus include job creation, government transparency, balancing the state budget and services for seniors, veterans and people with disabilities.
