Request Withdrawn For Blago To Leave Country

Looks like former Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich won't be leaving the country for a speaking engagement in England after all.

A motion filed by Blagojevich's lawyers last week, asking that the former governor be given permission to travel to Great Britain to speak before the Oxford Union, was withdrawn.

He would have left this week and returned to the U.S. on Sunday or Monday.

This isn't the first time Blago asked to leave the country.

Prior to his first trial, he requested permission to travel to Costa Rica to appear on the reality show, "I'm a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here." The judge denied the request, and Patti Blagojevich appeared on the show instead.

Blagojevich's second trial is scheduled to begin in late April.
