Joshua George Wins Men's Chicago Marathon Wheelchair Race

The University of Illinois' Joshua George can now mark off four Bank of America Chicago Marathon wins on his resume.

George won the men's wheelchair race Sunday, sailing across the finish line among a tight pack of 15 competitors.

"This is the biggest pack that we've ever had in Chicago," George said after the race. "I didn't know what was going to go on."

"You don't want to look back to see where anyone is," he said. "You just want to put your head down and hope nobody passes you."

George first competed in the Chicago Marathon in 2002, and credits U of I with his success. He said he plans to race in his hometown every year of his career.

"I love Chicago. I love the support that this race gets. It's one of the highlights of the year."
