Runners, get ready to cast your luck in the registration lottery for the Bank of America Chicago Marathon.

Registration opens Tuesday at noon for all marathoners. Runners can enter the lottery or register with a guaranteed entry at any time until April 21 at noon at chicagomarathon.com.

There are five ways runners can submit a guaranteed entry. Those who run with an official Chicago Marathon charity, who successfully deferred their 2014 entry, who run with an official Chicago Marathon tour partner, who are legacy finishers (five or more completed Chicago Marathons in the last 10 years) and who are time qualifiers with finish times of less than 3:15:00 for men and less than 3:45:00 for women since Jan. 1, 2013 can forgo the lottery and gain guaranteed entry.

Those who enter the lottery will be selected at random for registration and will be notified of their status on April 28.

The Bank of America Chicago Marathon fee is $185 for U.S. residents and $210 for those who live outside the U.S.
