Trent Reznor Reteaming With Fincher for “Dragon Tattoo”

After the great job Trent Reznor did scoring "The Social Network," why wouldn't David Fincher hire the Nine Inch Nails frontman to do music for "The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo"?

"I’m happy to announce that for the last month or so we’ve been scoring "The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo," Reznor said during an interview as part of The New York Times' TimesTalk series (you can see him discuss the new project around the 5-minute mark of the video below, which unfortunately is not of a very high quality).

The "we" in "we've" refers to Reznor and collaborator Atticus Ross (no relation), who together have already been nominated for an Oscar for their score for "The Social Network." In an unusual move, they began working on music while the film was still shooting, composing mood pieces that suited the script.

"The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo," which stars Daniel Craig and Rooney Mara, is due to hit theaters this Christmas.
