Welcome to Watch List, where we identify five things on TV to watch while you stay at home and celebrate the arrival of September. Ah, September, the month that tricks you into believing fall is coming, only to dump August temperatures upon you. LET’S GO!
UNLV/WISCONSIN – 8:00PM (ESPN) College football is BACK! Touchdowns! Cheerleaders! Drunken student sections! Bowl official stripper parties! Questionable NCAA eligibility rulings! Poor academic ratings! Sousaphones! It's all here for your enjoyment once more. You get a full slate of games over on ESPNU (Kentucky vs. Western Kentucky ooohhhh!), and you get the headliner matchup on the ESPN mothership. It's not the most glamorous matchup out there, but it's football and it's real and you will be happy. ANTICIPATION: FOOTBALL!
LOUIE – 10:30PM (FX) How great was that Afghanistan episode last week? What an unbelievable hour of TV. That thing deserved to win Emmys AND Oscars, it was so well done. I can't say enough good things about this show. If you don't watch it, you are a bad person. ANTICIPATION: HIGH!
LAST CUP: ROAD TO THE WORLD SERIES OF BEER PONG – 11:04PM (Spike) Remember those guys in college who took drinking games wayyy too seriously, and completely forgot that the whole point of drinking games is to socialize and have fun? Yes, well those guys are on this show. ANTICIPATION: AT COLGATE THEY CALL IT BEIRUT!
PROJECT RUNWAY – 9:00PM (Lifetime) This has been an entertaining season so far, especially with Olivier eating it during the track and field challenge last week (have a nice fall!), but it's becoming quite clear that none of these designers are very good. I think Kimberley is probably your winner. Also, Bert is this year's Michael Costello. Discuss. ANTICIPATION: DESIGNERS DON'T LIKE PERSNICKETY OLD PEOPLE!
RISING: REBUILDING GROUND ZERO – 8:00PM (Discovery) Learn about the building of the new 9/11 memorial and the brand new transit hub built in the wake of the attacks ten years ago. ANTICIPATION: BITTERSWEET!
