Martin Sheen is the most recent addition to the supporting cast of "Spider-Man" now that the three principals are in place.
The wall-crawler's family has been filling out nicely: Sheen has been cast as Uncle Ben, the nice old man who raised Peter Parker, according to Deadline. And word has it that Sally Field is being courted for the role of Aunt May.
Fans of the comic book and/or the original film will recall that Uncle Ben was killed by a thief that Spider-Man couldn't be bothered to stop from fleeing the scene of a crime. And perhaps just as importantly to Spidey's origins was his coining of the phrase: "With great power comes greet responsibility."
Who better to help counsel and young Parker than President Jed Bartlett? Your personal feelings about the idea of rebooting a franchise just eight years after its debut aside, the casting for this film has been outstanding thus far.
