Check Out DiCaprio as “J. Edgar” — on a Bike!

There are dueling "first looks" of DiCaprio as J. Edgar Hoover at MTV and Just Jared, and while the gossip monger has more photos, the former music channel has the former G-Man on a bicycle.

"J. Edgar" is being directed by Clint Eastwood, with a script by Dustin Lance Black ("Milk"), and co-stars Armie Hammer as Clyde Tolson, the man many believe was not just Hoover's right-hand man, but his BF as well. Also on board are Naomi Watts, Judi Dench, Josh Lucas, and Ed Westwick.

We were among those who were disappointed last year by the reports that the script Black, himself a homosexual, had written didn't address rumors about Hoover's sexuality. Because even though Hoover's true inclinations are impossible to know at this point, there's no getting around the fact that the men lived, worked and vacationed together for decades without ever marrying.

But in an interview with AfterElton published last week (and spotted by The Playlist), Black laid those concerns to rest.

"To think that somehow you’re going to a make a movie about somebody like J. Edgar and you’re not going to learn what’s in his heart, that’s just not going to happen in a script that I write," said Black. "(The notion that Hoover's possible homosexuality isn't addressed) is unfounded."

As much as we hated Eastwood's "Hereafter," we are very much looking forward to this one arriving in 2012.
