Derrick Rose Weeks Away From Team Practice: Report

Cheer up, Bulls fans! Derrick Rose is visibly on the mend, and rumor has it he could be a mere weeks away from practicing again with the team.

The MVP was seen sprinting Monday afternoon for the first time since he torn his ACL in April against the Philadelphia 76ers in a playoff round.

Since the injury, Rose has gone through intense rehab with hopes of returning to the court before season's end. He also starred in an adidas web series called "The Return" meant to culminate in the sight Bulls fans everywhere have waited months to see.

Now the vision of Rose competing again with the Bulls could be within reach. A source told the Chicago Sun-Times Rose could start practicing again with teammates in just a couple of weeks.

That puts him on track for a practice cameo before Christmas and predicted February return.

General Manager Gar Forman told the paper a date hasn't been set, but at this point, even the real possibility of Rose in uniform could be enough to propel the team until fans see him with their own eyes.
