Bulls Defeat Bucks, Remain Perfect in Preseason

Chicago trounced the visiting Milwaukee Bucks 105-84 on Monday night to remain undefeated in their exhibition schedule

The Milwaukee Bucks were no match for the Bulls on their home court as Chicago moved to a perfect 6-0 in the preseason with a 105-84 victory Monday night.

Derrick Rose followed up his 32 point and nine assist performance on Friday night with 24 points against Milwaukee going 6-10 from the field and connecting on 10 of his 11 attempts at the free-throw line. In his last two games, Rose has scored 56 points in 59 minutes of playing time on the floor.

Staring in place of the injured Jimmy Butler, Mike Dunleavy Jr. scored 12 points and eschewing from his usual practice of starting Nazr Mohammed at center in place of Joakim Noah, Tom Thibodeau went with Taj Gibson instead. Gibson finished the game with 10 points and four rebounds.

Carlos Boozer contributed a double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds, while Luol Deng scored 15 points and went 10-12 from the free-throw line.

Off the bench, Marquis Teague finished the game with 12 points, but didn’t shoot the ball well from the field going 5-13. Rookie Tony Snell finished the game with nine points in his 24 minutes of action.

As a team, the Bulls shot 42 percent from the field while holding the Bucks to 38 percent. Chicago dominated the glass, outrebounding Milwaukee 52-31, while also capitalizing on their 21 turnovers by scoring 28 points.

Milwaukee never led in the contest and Chicago led by as many 30 points.

The Bulls move on to face the Oklahoma City Thunder in Wichita, Kan. on Wednesday.

Nazr Mohammed went 0-5 from the field, but grabbed eight rebounds before fouling out in 15 minutes... Rookie Erik Murphy also struggled shooting going 1-8 from the field and finishing with three points.... Mohammed and DJ White were the only two Bulls players who didn't register a field goal
