Joakim Noah Enjoying His Time in Brazil

Chicago Bulls center says the energy of the people in Rio matches his own

The Chicago Bulls are in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil preparing to take on the Washington Wizards in their third preseason game of the season. Chicago has a 2-0 record in the preseason and this is the first time the team will play a game in South America.

It’s an exciting time for the Bulls and every member of the team is enjoying their time in Rio.

"I’m so excited. It’s business trip, but just to be here representing the Bulls -- Rio is such a cool place -- it’s a great feeling," Joakim Noah told Bulls TV. "I’ve only been here one time in Brazil when I was 14, but to be able to do it representing the Bulls is special."

Noah, who considers himself a "citizen of the world," has traveled to many countries in his lifetime, but being in Rio -- for him -- is a great way to experience Brazil’s vibrant culture.

"Brazil is like one of those places -- I’ve always wanted to come here -- the people are just full of energy. The culture is so cool, they’ve got great food, and it’s just an unbelievable culture with great people. So just to be a part of this, I couldn’t be happier."
