Toews, Tootoo Out for Blackhawks vs. Kings Saturday

The Chicago Blackhawks will finish off their circus trip on Saturday night, but they'll have to do so without one of their key forwards as they take on the Los Angeles Kings.

That forward is Jonathan Toews, who is still dealing with an upper body injury that forced him out of Wednesday's game against the San Jose Sharks. The injury, which Christopher Hine of the Chicago Tribune reported is not a concussion, did keep him out of Friday's win over the Anaheim Ducks and will sideline him for a second straight game.

The Blackhawks will also be without Jordin Tootoo, who left Friday's game with an injury. Tootoo, who signed with the Blackhawks as a free agent before the season, has yet to record a point this season, but his absence still hurts a forward group decimated by injuries.

With Toews and Tootoo both out, Andrew Desjardins should slot back into the lineup for the game, and both Vincent Hinostroza and Nick Schmaltz could see time at center against the Kings.
