Corey Crawford to Join Blackhawks on Current Road Trip

The Chicago Blackhawks are fighting for their lives in the playoff hunt, but it looks like they could get one of their most important players back on the ice soon.

According to the team, goaltender Corey Crawford, who has been participating in on-ice workouts in Chicago, will join the team on their current road trip.

Crawford, who has been out since late December with an unspecified upper body injury, will join the team prior to their game against the Arizona Coyotes on Monday, but won’t play in that game or in their Tuesday tilt against the Vegas Golden Knights, head coach Joel Quenneville said.

The Blackhawks entered Saturday’s action eight games out of the final wild card spot in the Western Conference, and with an opportunity to gain ground as they took on the Minnesota Wild, who currently hold that spot.
