Stanley Cup Final Lands Hawks Fan In Hospital

Blackhawks players and fans alike would agree the Stanley Cup Final has been a tense, exhilarating roller-coaster ride.

Perhaps few know it like Dave Thomas of west suburban Oswego.

Thomas had a heart attack while watching Monday's game against the Bruins and was transported to Edward Hospital in Naperville.

That didn't stop him from watching Wednesday night's big win from his hospital bed, where he said his team put him in danger of another attack.

"My heart monitor was off the charts and I was yelling like I was in a bar!" he said in an email. "The whole cardio floor had the game on! I love my Hawks but guys you're killing me for real!!"

Thomas hopes to get out of the hospital for Game 5.
