Either a handful of Blackhawks players are finally tiring of tearing up the town with the Stanley Cup, or they decided to rest up in preparation for Friday's championship parade.
There were less players celebrating at Lincoln Park's The Pony Thursday night, but their enthusiasm wasn't waning.
Patrick Sharp led the contingent of players to the bar, which quickly filled with fans and an overflow crowd on both sides of Belmont Avenue as word got out.
Some fans were allowed to pose with the Stanley Cup in what started out as a more relaxed atmosphere than many of the nighttime celebrations we've witnessed this week.
But things soon picked up as the team headed to a private room upstairs, and interacted with the crowd below, including spraying onlookers with champagne and hoisting the Cup for the enthusiastic crowd to see.
The party moved downtown to River North nightclub American Junkie -- the second time the player hit that spot this week.
After midnight, Jamal Mayers appeared with the Cup and sent it on its way. After all, it has a big day ahead on Friday.
The Cup spent most of the morning at the United Center, but by afternoon, it was making the rounds.
Marion Hossa took it to Bentley Gold Coast for some photos, Jonathan Toews hung out with the Cup at home for awhile, and the Cup was also seen at Streeterville's Ronald McDonald House.
Overall, it's been a whirlwind week for Lord Stanley. After spending half the day with Patrick Kane on the Late Show with David Letterman Wednesday, it withstood another round of Chicago nightlife, appearing at ROOF on theWit and Studio Paris nightclub.
Tuesday was also a busy day for the Cup, with a full slate of daytime activities and another night on the town.
Expect the Cup to make even more rounds leading up to Friday's championship parade.
