Ice Rink Named After Blackhawks Great

Blackhawks great Bobby Hull gets another big honor in the Chicago area, an ice rink named after him.

Cicero town board members approved the idea Tuesday night, according to the Chicago Tribune.

The new $3.5 million facility located near 34th Street and Laramie Avenue will be named the "Bobby Hull Community Ice Rink." It will open Dec. 4 following a ceremony at 1 p.m.

Hull is scheduled to be there, as are more than a dozen current Blackhawks players.

Bobby Hull played for the Blackhawks between 1957 and 1972. He returned as a team ambassador in 2008.
