Blackhawks to Debut “17 Seconds” Film at Navy Pier IMAX

Movie will premiere October 30th, then go on a limited run at the theater

For those fans who still enjoy reliving the Chicago Blackhawks’ crazy run to the 2013 Stanley Cup championship, the team has something for you.

The team’s production company on Oct. 30 will debut a new film entitled "17 Seconds," which will not only showcase the highlights of the team’s championship run, but will include never-before-seen footage of the celebrations following their victory in Game 6 of the Cup Final series against the Boston Bruins.

The movie will have a world premiere at the Navy Pier IMAX Theatre, but the event is invitation only. The good news for Hawks fans? Not only will the film have a limited run at the Theatre for fans to see it there, but it will also be included with the new hardcover book "One Goal II," which is available for pre-ordering at the Blackhawks’ website.

"We believe the behind-the-scenes video, photos, and commentary offer a definitive account of the Blackhawks’ Stanley Cup win and beyond," Blackhawks Senior Director of New Media and Creative Services Adam Kepenaar said in a press release.

The film also features footage from various players’ days with the Stanley Cup as it traveled around North America and Europe, as well as all-access coverage of the team’s locker room party and airplane ride home with the Cup after the team won in Boston. The book/film combo will be available at all Blackhawks Store locations in mid-October.
