UPS Driver Shot in Englewood

A UPS driver was shot and critically wounded in the Englewood neighborhood Tuesday morning, the Sun-Times reported.

The shooting happened on the 6500 block of South Hermitage Avenue around 10 a.m., according to police News Affairs Officer Robert Perez.

The victim was a UPS driver, and an armed robbery may have been committed, Perez said.

The man was taken in critical condition to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, according to Fire Media Affairs spokesman Quention Curtis.

Wentworth Area detectives are investigating.
