Cook County jail remained on lockdown this morning following an overnight gang fight that injured nine maximum security inmates.
The fight broke out as inmates were being led out of their cells for breakfast around 3:30 a.m., said Steve Patterson, spokesman for Cook County Sheriff Tom Dart.
