Local magazine Today's Chicago Woman will end production after 32 years with its January issue, which comes out Dec. 26.
Sherren Leigh, the magazine's president and founder, revealed her decision on Twitter, telling her followers she wanted a break.

Leigh attributed part of her decision to end publication to the recent deaths of her ex-husband and close friends, including Illinois Comptroller Judy Baar Topinka, according to an article in the Chicago Tribune.
Today's Chicago Woman was launched in 1982 as a platform for the city's feminists and as "smart read" for "smart women," according to the Tribune.
