Go to There: Tech Cocktail's Mixer at TechWeek

Tech Cocktail, a Virgina-based new media and events company aimed at better connecting the startup technology community in scads of cities, hosts mixers frequently in Chicago, but if there's one to go to it's the one later this month on June 24 at the Merchandise Mart. It's a "giant mixer and startup showcase… [full of] mingling with 'cocktail' tech and startup enthusiasts." The event is going to be bigger than usual because it's part of TechWeek, which is exactly what it sounds like.

Entrepreneurs, investors, journalists, marketers, developers, designers and just about anyone else charged up about local tech companies are welcome to register. And if you're a startup wanting to demo and pitch, great news: you can apply for a free demo spot and drinks will be served.

The event is also looking for sponsors [http://techcocktail.com/sponsorship-advertising-inquiry#.T9YCX-JYt7Q], so, there are a lot of ways to get your name out there.
