John Fox Could Attract Interest if He's Fired by Bears, Reports Say

Most people agree that the Chicago Bears will likely part ways with head coach John Fox after the season, but could he get a new job elsewhere if he’s fired?

According to some NFL reporters, that is a definite possibility. Both ESPN’s Dan Graziano and New York Giants beat writer James Kratch have said that the Giants could potentially take a look at hiring Fox if he’s let go by the Bears following the 2017 season.

Former NFL G.M. Ernie Accorsi, who was the consultant hired by the Bears when they picked Fox to be their new head coach in 2015, headed up the search for the Giants’ G.M. job, and could have a say in who they hire as their next coach.

New G.M. Dave Gettleman was just hired by the team on Thursday, so it’s unclear at this point who he will target to replace fired head coach Ben McAdoo, who was fired earlier this season.

The Bears are 14-33 under Fox in three seasons, and could make a change as soon as Monday when the NFL season concludes.
