Chicago Sports Teams Wish Bears Luck Ahead of Opener

Just about every pro sports team in the city is in the Bears' corner on Thursday as they take on the Packers

As the Chicago Bears prepare to open their 2019 season in a nationally televised game against the Green Bay Packers, their fellow Chicago sports teams are wishing them luck on the coming year.

The Bears, who won the NFC North last season and made the playoffs for the first time in nearly a decade, will be looking to soar even higher this year, and it all starts with a game against their hated rivals on Thursday night.

As they get ready to take the field, Chicago’s teams showed their support in a variety of ways on social media:

The winner of the day was likely the Chicago Fire, who simply had Bastian Schweinsteiger grating a block of cheese and saying “Bear Down, baby.”

The Bears will take on the Packers beginning at 7:15 p.m. Thursday night, and the game will air on NBC 5 Chicago.
