The Chicago Bears are in the process of finalizing their 53-man roster for the regular season, and the news is coming fast and furious.
Here are the latest rumblings as the Bears set things up for their season opener in Green Bay:
3:46 p.m.
According to Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune, defensive back Jonathan Mincy has been told he will be waived by the Bears.
The Bears have also told fullback Michael Burton that he will be on the 53-man roster.
2:23 p.m.
According to Patrick Finley of the Chicago Sun-Times, the Bears will waive 2017 fifth-round draft pick Jordan Morgan, bringing the roster to 69 players.

1:35 p.m.
According to Adam Jahns of the Chicago Sun-Times, the Bears have decided to waive running back Ryan Nall.
Nall, who had a touchdown in the team's final preseason game, could be a practice squad candidate if no other team claims him on waivers or offers him a contract.
That decision drops the Bears' roster to 70 players.
1:15 p.m.
Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune reports that the Bears have parted ways with defensive end Elijah Norris and running back Knile Davis.
Those reported decisions drop the Bears' roster to 71 players.

Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune is all over the list of cuts thus far today, and has reported the following players have been waived:
OL Brandon Greene
Greene was an undrafted free agent, but couldn’t make the cut as the Bears assemble a reconfigured offensive line this season.
WR Demarcus Ayers
Ayers has appeared in a total of two NFL games, with six receptions for 53 yards and a touchdown as a Pittsburgh Steeler in 2016.
S Nick Orr
The TCU Horned Frog was going to have a tough time nailing down a safety spot, and he couldn’t quite make the grade in the secondary.
P Ryan Winslow
Pat O’Donnell’s job is safe, as Winslow was cut loose by the team after a camp-long punting competition.
WR Tanner Gentry
Gentry was off-and-on for the Bears on their roster last year, registering three catches for 35 yards in his rookie season.
TE Colin Thompson
With Ben Braunecker and Daniel Brown likely both making the team, there was no room at the inn for Thompson, who played his college football at Florida and Temple.
DL Cavon Walker
The former Maryland Terrapin was a longshot to make the roster as a defensive tackle, with Eddie Goldman and John Jenkins both competing for the spot.
OLB Josh Woods
Another former Terrapin, Woods suffered an injury earlier in the preseason after signing with the team as an undrafted free agent.
CB Cre’von LeBlanc
One of the more surprising cuts of the day, LeBlanc has two career interceptions and 13 defended passes in 28 NFL games, including 10 starts.
WR Garrett Johnson
The Kentucky Wildcat inked a contract with the Bears in April, but was unable to outplay other returning players like Joshua Bellamy for a role with the team.
WR Malachi Jones
An arena football star, Jones was hoping to finally stick on an NFL roster this year, but couldn’t make the grade in Chicago.
LB Jonathan Anderson
With a new influx of linebackers, Anderson was in a tough battle to stick around, and now it appears his time in Chicago is over. Anderson has appeared in 31 games for the Bears, defending two passes and registering 34 tackles.
LB Kasim Edebali
Edebali had a solid shot to make the Bears’ roster, but an injury against the Bills last week put the final nail in the coffin of his hopes. He has played in 61 career NFL games, with 36 tackles and eight sacks to his credit.
NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport has also reported that the Bears will be waiving cornerback Doran Grant, who had two interceptions during the preseason.
Rapoport also revealed the Bears would be waiving linebacker John Timu, who has been with the team for the last three seasons. Timu started in nine games for the Bears, registering 44 tackles and defending two passes.
Kevin Fishbain of The Athletic reported that linebacker Ro’Derrick Hoskins has also been cut loose by the team.
In total, the Bears still have 20 more cuts to make, based on reports.
