The Chicago Bears are busy trimming down their roster from 90 players to 53, and although the team didn’t have a lot of high-profile moves to make, there are still some interesting decisions left to be made for the squad.

The Bears, who will play the NFL’s first game of the regular season on Thursday against Green Bay, will hold their first practice for the week on Sunday, meaning that they’ll need to announce their roster prior to that workout.

Among the high-profile reported cuts so far, wide receiver Tanner Gentry has been waived by the Bears, according to The Athletic Chicago’s Adam Jahns. Gentry has appeared in four career games, catching three passes for 35 yards.

He was considered a contender for a wide receiver job, but reportedly missed the cut for the squad.

Wide receiver Marvin Hall will also be waived by the team, according to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network. The speedster, who stood out on special teams for the Falcons, has registered 616 return yards in his NFL career, but couldn’t crack the Bears’ roster.

According to the latest numbers, the Bears have reportedly made 29 moves, leaving them eight more to get down to the 53-man limit for the coming season.
