Roquan Smith Returns to Practice Field, Expects to Play Sunday

Chicago Bears linebacker Roquan Smith returned to the practice field Wednesday at Halas Hall and told media he expects to suit up vs. the Oakland Raiders on Sunday.

Smith, who missed Sunday’s game against the Minnesota Vikings due to “personal issues,” has been at the team’s facility this week and joined his teammates on the practice field, according to head coach Matt Nagy.

After the workout, Smith said he has "moved past" the personal issues that kept him out of Sunday's game, and that he expects to be on the field when the team plays in London.

Nagy did not confirm that Smith would play in the game, and his status will be made official later in the week.
